Pred’s Collection Of Particle Effects
This repository contains a variety of particle effects created with the Half Life Alyx Workshop Tools.
I am mainly a programmer, so these are by no means perfect.
They should, however, serve as placeholders or inspiration for your own particles effects.
I recommend reading the S&box wiki. if you want to learn more about particle effects in S&box or Half Life Alyx.

How To
Unzip the files so that the materials and particles folders are in the root directory. If you downloade multiple particle effects and it asks you to overwrite files, just say yes. Some sprites are used in multiple particle effects.
If you want to move the location of the files, you might have to changes the paths in the .vtex and .mks files. They can be opened in any text editor.
